When Carlin and I spoke on the phone for the first time, I new this was going to be a good match. She was so sweet, humble and honest about what she wanted. Scott is a firefighter and was not able to meet with us during the consultation, but when I finally met him in person I was equally impressed. Both Carlin and Scott have a very sincere, unassuming quality about them. They are easy-going people and their wedding reflected just that. Both of them got ready at Blue Lake Ranch in separate cottages. The getting ready pictures were fun and relaxed. Carlin's sister and father kept her company and we shot a first look with Carlin and her dad. This was the first time I did a father-daughter first look and it was very touching. I loved it!
For the ceremony and reception, friends and family gathered at Ridgewood Events Center just down the road for a gorgeous autumn ceremony with the cottonwoods in full yellow color. Carlin and Scott's Rottweiler delivered the rings down the aisle, muscles bursting out of his smart tuxedo. Afterwards, we stole a few minutes as the sun went down and took some couples portraits. The Reception was lively and beautiful in the Ridgewood Events Center wooden cabin-style building. Hello Doll Face rocked the house late into the night as the stars poked out of the perfect autumn sky.
